Monday and Wednesday Mornings &

Thursday Evening Meditation

The Chan Dharma Community provides three online drop-in meditation sessions a week to support each other’s practice.  All sessions are hosted by a member of the Chan Dharma Community and are self-guided. The sittings are held on Zoom and designed for members of the Chan Dharma Community who have practiced with Dr. Rebecca Li. We ask participants to come prepared to practice using their own method; meditation sessions will be self-guided. All levels of experience are welcome.

Sample Schedule

There are three weekly sitting options for a 20-minute sitting session on Monday and Wednesday mornings and Thursday evenings.

Monday Morning Schedule, 7:00 to 7:30 am EST

  • 7:00 - 7:05 am EST: Each session promptly begins with brief seated exercises and recitation of the Four Great Vows.

  • 7:05 - 7:25 am EST: The meditation period lasts 20 minutes.

  • 7:25-7:30 am EST: The session ends with a community closing prayer.

Sessions hosts are Beth Adelman, Cindy Toy and Lee Harrison.

Wednesday Morning Schedule, 7:00 to 7:30 am EST

  • 7:00 - 7:05 am EST: Each session promptly begins with brief seated exercises and recitation of the Four Great Vows.

  • 7:05 - 7:25 am EST: The meditation period lasts 20 minutes.

  • 7:25-7:30 am EST: The session ends with a community closing prayer.

Sessions hosts are Cindy Toy, Lee Harrison and Ruth Marie Subramanian.

Thursday Evening Schedule, 9:00 to 9:30 pm EST

  • 9:00 - 9:05 pm EST: Each session promptly begins with brief seated exercises and recitation of the Four Great Vows.

  • 9:05 - 9:25 pm EST: The meditation period lasts 20 minutes.

  • 9:25 pm - 9:30 EST: The session ends with a community closing prayer.
